What started as a day to remember Maddie has grown into a show of support from the building materials community.
Across the country, merchants, manufacturers, suppliers and businesses turned yellow for Maddie, coming together to celebrate her life, support her legacy and help create opportunities for the next generation entering our industry.
And they did it in true building materials style.

From branches and offices dressed in yellow to colleagues taking part in challenges and fundraising activities, the colour was everywhere.
There were bake-offs, yellow tie dinners, bridge walks, golf competitions and much, much more, with teams and businesses finding their own ways to get involved, raise money and bring people together and turn the sector Yellow for Maddie’s Day.

Special mention and a brilliant effort from Jamie Pilbin and the Keyline Civils team walking the Thames Bridge Trek, a 25km walking challenge that zig-zags across 16 historic bridges along the River Thames, while the BMF Yellow Tie Dinner provided an opportunity for the industry to come together in the evening, sharing stories, remembering Maddie and raising vital funds for the Foundation.

But Maddie’s Day was about more than individual events. It was about seeing the building materials industry come together as one community.
Everyone playing their part helping to spread the message and shine a light on the opportunities available to young people looking to build their future in our industry.
Supporting Careers. Building Futures – That is what the Maddie Rose Foundation is all about.

And Maddie’s Day showed just how much can be achieved when an entire sector gets behind a shared purpose.
A huge thank you to everyone across who turned yellow for Maddie, whether you organised an event, wore a yellow tie, donated, shared a post or simply got involved. You helped turn Maddie’s Day 2026 into something much bigger than a single day.
